Radius Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

What Radius Is

Radius is a marketplace that helps neighbors join together to unlock better pricing on local home services. Radius is a facilitator, not a service provider. The vendor performs the service and is responsible for scheduling, fulfillment, and quality. Radius coordinates the neighborhood deal and processes payment.

How Neighborhood Deals Work

When you join a deal, you commit to participate if your neighborhood reaches the minimum group size (Tier 1) and the deal closes successfully. Each deal has a listed deadline and activation threshold. The deal page controls the applicable timing, threshold, and close criteria. Radius may process final outcomes after the listed close time.

Payment Authorization on Join

When you join a deal, your card is authorized — not charged. The authorization is a hold against the amount shown at join time. Your card is only captured if your neighborhood deal closes successfully. If it doesn't close, Radius releases/cancels the authorization; your bank may take additional time to remove the hold.

If the Deal Doesn't Close

If your neighborhood doesn't reach the listed Tier 1 threshold before the applicable deadline, or if the deal otherwise fails to close, Radius releases/cancels the authorization. Your bank may take additional time to remove the hold. Nothing further is required of you.

Leaving Before Tier 1

Before Tier 1 is reached, you may request removal by emailing hello@jointheradius.com. Removal is confirmed only after Radius cancels the authorization and updates the deal count. Once Tier 1 is reached, joins are committed except where Radius approves an exception.

Refunds After a Successful Close

Once a deal closes successfully and your card is charged, refunds and disputes are handled by the Radius operations team on a case-by-case basis. If you have a service quality issue, contact hello@jointheradius.com and we'll work with you and the vendor to resolve it.

Vendor Responsibility

Vendors are independent local businesses. The vendor is responsible for performing the service, scheduling each customer after the deal closes, contacting customers within 2 business days of close, honoring the approved deal terms, and not charging undisclosed extras. Radius reviews vendor applications and may request license, insurance, or other proof depending on service category, but Radius is not liable for vendor service quality, scheduling, or workmanship.

Vendor Pricing

Vendors pay Radius a 15% platform fee, deducted from the vendor payout, only when a deal closes and payment is captured. There are no upfront costs or listing fees for vendors.

Disputes

Disputes about service quality, pricing, or vendor conduct should be raised first with the vendor. If you can't resolve it, email hello@jointheradius.com and we'll mediate.

Limitation of Liability

Radius is provided "as is" without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Radius is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or from any service performed by a vendor.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Radius after changes means you accept the new terms.
